Sqroup-ie (skroo-pee) n. Slang.

1. A fan who follows the rock group squint.
2. An enthusiastic supporter or follower.

 

What the hell is a Sqroupie?

We are fans of the band squint. That much should be fairly obvious...you are on a squint fan site afterall!
What separates us from regular fans is really what you need to ask. Where the Grateful Dead have their 'Dead Heads' and Kiss has the 'Kiss Army' - squint has the Sqroupies.

The name was first used by Ginger Robertson sometime in late '98 in College Station, TX and was solidified through use by the band and in the Yahoo! Squint Group. We even got a mention in the liner notes on squint's second album - Tinsel Life!
